Contraindications to Electrolysis Absolute (procedure is not allowed): 1. Severe mental or neurological disorders 2. Epilepsy 3. Asthma during flare-ups 4. Blood disorders (hemophilia, clotting problems) 5. Cancer (within the first 6 years of remission) 6. Cervical dysplasia, stage III 7. Thyroid tumors (especially for face and neck treatments) 8. Serious cardiovascular conditions (ischemic heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, history of heart attack or stroke) 9. Pacemaker 10. Infectious diseases: syphilis, HIV/AIDS 11. Use of systemic retinoids (Accutane, Roaccutane) — during treatment and for 6 months after 12. Autoimmune diseases (systemic lupus, vasculitis, multiple sclerosis) 13. Tendency to form keloid scars Relative (require discussion with electrologist or physician): 1. Diabetes (especially insulin-dependent) 2. Intrauterine metal devices or piercings near the treatment area (thermolysis/flash- thermolysis may be possible) 3. Varicose veins in the treatment area 4. Acute or chronic skin conditions (warts, papillomas, vitiligo) 5. Eczema, psoriasis 6. Active acne inflammation in the treatment area 7. Herpes (no facial treatments during facial outbreaks; no bikini treatments during genital outbreaks) 8. Viral or bacterial infections, gum inflammation after recent dental work 9. Pregnancy; breastfeeding — only with doctor’s approval 10. Uterine fibroids or breast cysts (acceptable if stable and with doctor’s permission) 11. Allergy to stainless steel (used in probes) 12. Endocrine disorders (doctor’s clearance required) 13. Recent chemical peels — wait 3 weeks; after electrolysis, wait 2–3 weeks before peels or other cosmetic procedures 14. Sunburn 15. Menstruation (depends on client’s comfort) 16. Recent injectables (Botox, fillers, etc.) — wait at least 2 weeks 17. Moles — we do not treat directly on moles
